The Seiko Prospex HBJ002 from the SPEEDTIMER line is a men's solar watch. Prospex is Seiko's collection of professional-specification sports watches for land, sea and air.

It runs on Seiko caliber V192, a solar-powered quartz movement, charged by any light source. Fully charged, it runs for approx. 6 months. Rated accuracy is ±15 seconds per month. Functions include overcharge prevention, 24-hour hand, equipped with small seconds hand, chronograph up to 60 minutes in 1/5 second increments, power reserve indicator and date display.

The stainless steel case measures 41.4 mm wide, 13 mm thick and 45.9 mm from lug to lug. Lug width is 21 mm. The dial is protected by curved sapphire crystal, with an anti-reflective coating on the inner surface. Seiko's LumiBrite luminous paint is applied to the hands and indexes for legibility in the dark. It comes with a three-fold clasp with push button release. Other details include tachymeter function and screw case back.

The watch is water resistant to 100 m (10 bar) and magnetic resistant to 4,800 A/m. It weighs 168 g.
