Seiko Prospex SRQ055 – Mechanical Chronograph

The Seiko Prospex SRQ055 from the SPEEDTIMER line is a men's automatic watch. Seiko lists it as “Mechanical Chronograph”. Prospex is Seiko's collection of professional-specification sports watches for land, sea and air.

It runs on Seiko caliber 8R48, an automatic movement that can also be wound by hand. The movement has a power reserve of approx. 45 hours and 34 jewels. Rated accuracy is +25 to -15 seconds per day. Functions include chronograph with 30 minutes and 12 hours, stop second hand and date display.

The stainless steel case, finished with a super hard coating, measures 42 mm wide, 14.6 mm thick and 49.5 mm from lug to lug. Lug width is 20 mm. The dial is protected by dual-curved sapphire crystal, with an anti-reflective coating on the inner surface. Seiko's LumiBrite luminous paint is applied to the hands and indexes for legibility in the dark. It comes with a three-fold clasp with push button release. Band length is 197 mm. Other details include tachymeter function and screw case back.

The watch is water resistant to 100 m (10 bar). It weighs 191 g.
